We are proud to announce a collaboration with Finnish born Karhu for the grand opening of our new downtown store on Friday, December 16th. The sneaker is about the future.
We have belief in the city and community of Seattle. We’ve literally doubled down on it by opening a second store here. Belief is simple, so the design is simple, strong. For these reasons, our team chose "Seattle Gray," as the color for the sneaker. Gray is also the color of wisdom and balance. To reinforce the idea of belief, the word "Seattle" runs up the lateral side of the sneaker, a can't miss location. The Karhu Trampas was selected because of its simplicity and its history. In the 1960s the Trampas was the workhorse of everyday runners and worn by Finnish Olympic athletes and 20 colleges and universities in the US, including the University of Oregon. Trampas comes from "trampata", the Finnish word for stomp or march, making it the perfect sneaker choice to stand for belief.
Each pair will also come in a "Kevin the Shoe Dog" box.
